Hello,
I hope all families had a wonderful break! This week we will not be doing a spelling list. We will have a new list on Monday March 27,which is available on Spelling City now. Then we will do spelling on April 3rd and not again until April 24th, because of the 2 short weeks around Easter.
The Inquiry Fair is on Thursday April 20th and the kids have come up with their questions to explore around structures and put into groups. They will research, plan and build in the next few weeks.
The Stanley journals are due back in class this Friday, April 24th. We will begin presentations that day and continue into the next week for 3 or 4 days.
The kids will have a structures presentation and activity with all the grade ones this week with a TDSB engineer.
We are working on telling time to the hour and soon to the half hour. Your help at home could help with this. They are learning about the passage of time on the analog clock as well as the digital clock which is used more often.
The children are practicing retelling a story with the big ideas told in sequence and also to make connections to their reading to themselves or another book or to anything in their world.
