Dear Parents,
Hello.

*** Cross Country Running begins tomorrow, Tuesday and then Wednesday and Friday. A mistake with the dates. (not Thursdays)

I think the kids had a good first week. They were hot and tired though.

This week we will begin with 5 new words to put up on our word wall each week, called Snap Words. I will post the words here each week so you know what they are. Snap words are meant to be read in a snap, not words to be sounded out. The more snap words the kids have, the easier it is to read. They are -

and, the, is, to, a

You can ask the kids about them, play little games, write sentences, anything you wish. Thanks for your help.

We will begin" Printing" this week. Many kids learn how to print from others (big brothers and sisters) and do not form the letters correctly. Sometimes habits are difficult to change, even at this early age. But we'll try.

We are learning the number words to ten and also colour words.

We continue all month to work on rules and routines in the classroom and school.
