Just a reminder that Friday is a PA day.
Spelling words this week are - brown, green, trap, from, drink, broke, grow, train with the lesson being blends with 'r'. The spelling test will be on Monday.
In science the unit is Living Things. Senses, the body and plants and animals. We have just begun to talk about an inquiry based research project on an animal. So far they have learned about non fiction books and had practice writing jot notes. They have been asked to think of an animal that they would like to know more about and have questions about. I have lots of non fiction books on animals in the classroom and they can choose one if they wish. They may decide to choose another animal that they have questions about and could bring in books from home or the local library. All research and writing will be done in class. If any information is found on websites at home, that is great too. Please print off the pages and they can bring in to class to write their jot notes from. They will end up with a final good copy of the report that will be done in class.
The kids have been learning about money, identifying and adding and subtracting coins. We have played money bingo. Please let your kids count up your coins.
