I hope all families had a wonderful holiday! Thank you again for you generous gifts.
The spelling words for the week are - place, make, making, help, here, want, nice, to, two, into. The snap words for the week are - want, made, nice, good, no. (some overlap)
We will begin reading groups and language activities accordingly.
In math, we will concentrate on number sense, starting with composing and decomposing numbers to 20. For example, how many ways can you make 10? 1 and 9, 2 and 8 etc. We will also continue with number facts to 20 and problem solving.
In Social Studies we will begin to look at The Community and the Relationships we have to it.
We will continue to review rules and expectations of the grade 1 classroom.
